Interdisciplinary Artist & Animator
My Work
Throughout my undergraduate studies I have served as both a Director, Assistant Director, and Dramaturg on various theatrical productions. Through this I was able to provide artistic insight, both in the storytelling of these shows as well as in their visual elements. I also often did research on behalf of the production in terms of particulars of the show and its historical background. Much of my work investigated the lived experiences of women, trans and nonbinary individuals, as well as queer identities. I also did a significant amount of online production work during the Covid-19 pandemic in the form of radio plays and digital theatre, a lot of which illuminated the struggles and losses students were experiencing at that time.

Fefu And Her Friends
Assistant Director, DePaul University
Fefu and Her Friends by Maria Irene Fornes is an abstract piece exploring the toll it can take on someone to live in a patriarchal society, and consequences that can come with fighting against it. In this show I, alongside my director Mallory Metoxen and team of co-AD's, helped guide the production around the concept of all of the scenes being flashbacks Fefu is having from a point in the future.
Pink Milk
Assistant Director/Dramaturg, DePaul University
Pink Milk by Ariel Zetina explores an abstracted version of mathematician Alan Turing's life, and explores the tragic story of how he was persecuted for his sexulaity. In this production I served both as an Assistant Director providing notes to the performers, as well as did historical research on the subject on behalf of the actors and designers.
This is What I Miss the Most
Director, DePaul University
This is What I Miss the Most was a collaborative radio play developed online during the Covid-19 pandemic. It explored being a young person this worldwide upheaval of our lives, and included themes surrounding dating, online school, mental health, and human connection. I served as the director on this production and managed its development in a time where people desperately needed to express their realities and create something from it.
Cassandra At Cumae
Director, DePaul University
Cassandra At Cumae by Ross Millstead was an online production that portrayed a rewriting of the Greek story of Cassandra. This was a student written piece through The Theatre School's Wrights of Spring Festival, were I served as a director. I worked with actors and the playwright to delve both into the mythological background as well as create a piece that felt centered around Cassandra and her experiences. It explored themes of trauma, the fem-bodied experience, and the erasure of those plotlines.
The Last Night of the World
Director, DePaul University
The Last Night of the World by Emily Townley was a radio play based on the Warsaw Uprising of 1944, and portrayed a discussion between soldiers the night before they were likely to die in battle. I served as a director on this production, working with the actors both on the historical significance of the play alongside giving each of the characters a life of their own.
